With Globalization, Indian
Construction Industry is now open to the world, resulting in a
growing demand for world-class quality workmanship and
deployment of latest technologies in both the materials used and
the methods of construction. This is mainly due to the need to
complete projects at reduced cost, coupled with speed and
safety. This turn demands a drastic increase in productivity of
men and machines, which can be achieved only by imparting
intensive training to workmen and equipping them with the
required knowledge and skill in construction.
Realising all this, Director of Employment and Training,
Gandhinagar take steps to provide construction vocational
training in Gujarat started Construction Skills Training Centre
(CSTC). CSTC will develop a trained workforce through structured
training.
